Artificial Voyeur

Artificial Voyeur transforms Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street into a poem examining our relationship with surveillance. Using AI and computer vision to track individuals, the work imposes algorithmically-generated fragments of poetry above the unwitting performers below.

Drawing inspiration from George Perec's An Attempt at Exhausting a Place in Paris (1975), Artificial Voyeur updates the concept for our surveilled age, where human observation has been replaced by algorithms.
