Domme Ewan is a Glasgow-based Creative Technologist. Their work bridges digital, physical, and mental spaces through interactive installations, augmented artefacts, and live optical experiences. Ewan’s practice explores themes of networks and communities, avatars and identity, and spatial, sensory interfaces. They explore technology as a hands-on craft, approaching digital material and processes in a critical, experimental and playful manner.
Domme's upbringing at the cusp of the new millennium involved exploration of early internet spaces, dismantling household electronics, playing with creative software and circus skills. This has led to a career in .Gif art, CGI/SFX, Live VJing, and interactive installations which use light, motion, signal corruption, found media and incongruous concepts to engage audiences. They have worked with rappers, turner prize nominees, youth groups, DJs, brands and cultural institutions.
